WHAT TO EXPECT

Morning: Visit Pompeii excavations that represent an extraordinary witness of the Roman ancient world thanks to the good state of preservation of the city, remained practically intact after the eruption in 79 d. C. Following the visit to excavations of the city of Ercolano in the archaic age and initially involved in an indigenous settlement, the city was subsequently exposed to the Sannitian, Greek, Etruscan influence, to the predominant Roman presence, whose civilization is today witnessed by ‘Outstanding state of conservation. Situated on a volcanic plateau, overlooking the sea, Herculaneum, like other Vesuvius towns, was covered by the 79th C. Vesuvius eruption.
